When I was in China, I made many porcelain figures, simplyfied, but
still resembling me. They were unglazed, but little by little I was adding the
black pigment to the liquid porcelain, to have a gradiation from white to black.
Then I went to streets and markets in Jingdezhen and Shanghai
and was selling them to Chinese people. I was quite suprised how
many people pick up the grey ones.
